Over the years, the breast and nipples go into many physical changes in response to hormonal and physical changes like pregnancy, breast feeding, or menopause. In result of these changes, the nipple can lose its perkiness, symmetry, or even sensations. Losing sensation in the nipple can be very stressful as the nipple is one of the most important sexual organs in the female’s body.
Nipple sensation can also be lost after breast augmentation procedures secondary to disruption of nerve supplies during the surgery.
What is the Nipple Enhancement procedure?
Nipple enhancement is a procedure that can be done solely or as part of the Vampire Breast Lift. It involves the use of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) in a very special way to inject it to enhance nipple sensation. This is done using the natural healing powers of PRP, increasing the blood supply to the area, and improving its collagen.
Sometimes fillers are used in combination with the plasma to improve the appearance of a depressed or inverted nipple or correct any nipple deformity or abnormality.
How long does the procedure take?
The procedure takes about 30 min including the numbing time. The procedure starts by numbing the areola and the nipple. During that time, your blood will be drawn and centrifuged to separate your blood cells from your plasma. Your plasma will be further separated to get the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) away fro the Platelet Poor Plasma (PPP). Then the PRP will be activated and injected in specific points to enhance the nipples.
What to expect before and after the procedure?
The area might feel sore for few days. It is recommended that if the procedure involved treatment for inverted nipples that the client wears nipple shields/nipple correctors for few days after the procedure. After that, the soreness would have gone, and the nipples will start acquiring their new shape. Within four weeks, the nipple sensation will improve and you’ll get to love them again!
How long do the effects of Nipple enhancements last?
PRP and fillers last between 1-2 years, and the procedure can be repeated as needed.
