Overview
Vampire Breast Lift is a procedure that was first introduced by the same physician who introduced the O-Shot, Dr Charles Runels. The goal was to improve the breasts’ shape (and possibly function) in the most natural way.
Though it may sound shocking, the idea of using a woman’s own natural growth factors (PRP- Platelet Rich Plasma) to enhance the shape of her breast is actually much more natural than using a foreign body (an implant) to change the shape.
Of course using breast implants can be an excellent procedure for many women. Especially those who are looking to increase their bra size by one, two or more sizes! But breast augmentation surgeries are invasive, require a long downtime, and has significant complications like infection, inflammation, implant rejection. In addition a lot of these patients complain of losing the sensation in their nipples.
What does Vampire Breast Lift do?
- Improve the appearance of the cleavage, giving it a fuller appearance.
- Correct any asymmetries (natural or post breast implants)
- Improve the appearance of stretch marks or scarring on the breast
- Improve nipple sensation
How is Vampire Breast Lift done?
Vampire Breast Lift utilizes your own blood to extract your platelet-rich plasma PRP. Later this plasma is prepared and injected in volume deficient areas where they are most needed. Sometimes, depending on the type of deficit, a hyaluronic acid filler might be used as well to enhance the symmetry. Inverted nipples can be corrected at this time too. What to expect during the procedure?
First, we’ll draw a fair amount of your blood, around four tubes of the 22ml. This blood will be centrifuged to collect the PRP. During this time, your breast will be numbed using a local numbing cream.
Later the breast will be cleaned and the doctor will localize the areas that need treatment and inject the plasma in a very specific way to achieve a more attractive cleavage and a more youthful look for the breast.
Would my breast grow in size?
The goal of therapy is not to make the breast become bigger, but rather look fuller and healthier. It also helps with any asymmetries resulting from any previous surgeries.
What to expect after the procedure?
Immediately after the procedure, there’s going to be an increase in the volume secondary to post-procedure inflammation. Later on, this inflammation will resolve. Over the next 4-6 weeks, volume starts building up again and complete effects starts taking place with improvement in volume, skin tone, color, and texture. These effects can last 1-2 years, and the procedure can be repeated if needed.
During the procedure your doctor will use some of the plasma to do a nipple enhancement procedure.
